PhotoLibrary’s Tim Moore Featured in Dynamic Export
Australia’s Dynamic Export has a short article on stock photography agency PhotoLibrary and its founder Tim Moore.
Moore is an Australian who followed his instincts back in 1995 and took his small photographic library online.
“Now Photolibrary.com has 10 million images, thousands of hours of footage and music and competes as one of the top three image providers in the world.”
“Competing with the likes of Bill Gates’ Corbis and privately owned Getty Images, Moore has concentrated on differentiation to gain market share. He looks for specialty brands with niche photography.”

Albumo Relaunched


Microstock web site Albumo has been relaunched and is now part of the Fantero Network.
According to Fantero’s twitter posts images can be uploaded again and they will be launching a new email newsletter soon.
Albumo currently has over 700,000 royalty-free images.
It will be interesting to see if this microstock site will be more successful this time around.

Designer Creates ‘Help Japan’ Image with Profits Donated to Relief Efforts
A ‘Help Japan’ image of a cracked rising sun has been turned into a poster with all the profits being donated to Japan’s relief efforts.
James White, a 34 year-old freelance graphic designer from Halifax, Nova Scotia, who designs under the name Signalnoise, created the digital image as a way to encourage people to give to the Red Cross and other charities.
